Then I came across these Smart telescopes. I research them all and decided to get this one. It’s the smallest one and I think it’s the least expensive. So I was a little curious about what performance I was gonna get out of it. Let me tell you I am blown away with the quality of the images you get from this thing. I spent a lot of time as a kid looking through telescopes and I barely saw any of this stuff. It’s really easy to set up. I live in a high light pollution area and it can see through that. I did buy the small tripod that they suggest. It’s a very good quality tripod. If you had a lot of room around where you could take images at knee height, then it would work fine. Luckily I had some larger tripods where I can get that camera up around 6 to 7 feet. Most people will not need that, but I have a very limited view and I’m surrounded by trees in buildings. So that taller tripod gets me just a little bit more viewing area of the sky. You can literally set this up and be taking images while you’re inside of the house and once you’re set up, you can just walk away. I’m excited enough now that I do research during the day to see what I might be able to see in the small viewing area that I have. I’ve decided that setting it up for the equatorial mode is best. There’s a small learning curve to that, but not much of one. It’s easy once you figure it out and they guide you through it in the app. So before bed I go out set the camera up, pick my target, or maybe even a couple targets as you can schedule added targets and it’s all automatic. Wake up in the morning and you’re thrilled to be awake and go get the unit and bring it in hook it up to your iPhone and see the images that you got and then show your friends and family who will be astounded that you did this with this little unit in your backyard I highly recommend it . note that there are a few particles of dust inside the lens. You cannot clean it up. Another review or noted this. But because it’s not anywhere near where you’re focusing, it doesn’t really impact the quality of the image in any manner.."
