Wireless functionality for CarPlay and Android Auto is what I use the most. Once paired for the first time, the phone generally connects swiftly and automatically when I get into the vehicle, allowing me instant access to navigation, music, calls, messages, and the voice assistant without needing to plug in a data cable each time. This creates a smart console experience in the Ram that feels almost like driving a new vehicle. The included 1080P rearview camera is particularly beneficial for a large truck like the Ram, as the screen quickly transitions to the rear view when the vehicle is put in reverse. Following installation, tasks like reversing, parking, and navigating around tow truck balls are much simpler than they used to be. The rear of the head unit has many connections, so it is important to wire everything carefully during installation to ensure the panel fits properly. When compared to investing in a more costly factory-installed upgrade, this head unit provides greater functionality and a larger display, leading to a favorable price-performance ratio.
